Spelling
“Menüto” with ü in German, English, Russian, Italian and Ukrainian, in the wordmark and in the footer; always capitalised, without an article, without ® or ™. In Bulgarian the name is written “Менюто” (Cyrillic, with the definite article attached), in Bulgarian texts sometimes mixed with “Menüto”. Without the umlaut the name appears only in technical contexts: domain menuto.app, email info@menuto.app and the product name “Menuto Handler”. In German compounds the name takes a hyphen (“Menüto-Team”, “Menüto-Hinweis”); in the existing texts the name is not inflected. Operator: White White Web Ltd.
Tone of voice
Marketing copy is consistently formal (German: “Sie”), warm, direct and benefit-oriented, with short sentences. Typical phrases: “Start free.” and “With Menüto, all of that is history.” Prices as “14 €” (number, space, euro sign), with a decimal comma in German and a decimal point in English texts, “0 %” with a space, typographic quotation marks. In the dashboard and some guest texts the informal “du” is occasionally used in German; for marketing the formal “Sie” applies.
Terminology
“Venue” for the business and the restaurant, “hospitality”, “guests” (not “customers”); “digital menu” or “menu” for the product as a whole, “menu” for a partial menu (for example lunch, evening, drinks), “dish” for the individual entry; “QR menu”, “QR code”, “number board”, “self-order kiosk”, “add-ons”. “Venues” in the Everything plan means 3 restaurants in the account. Two names are used twice: “POS” (terminal for staff, the “POS (Beta)” settings page and the POS add-on) and “Ordering” (plan and add-on); the plans say “team members”, the dashboard says “Team” and “Manager”.
